Rughavens Jackpot or JJ (Jackpot Junior!!) is a fully registered and graded Knabstrupper stallion by Stavsdals Jackpot who by the age of 6 has already gained a very impressive competition record in the dressage arena.
JJ stands at 156cm and he is graded with the SPSS (Sports Pony Studbook Society) where his potential for producing top class competition youngstock was recognised.
He was bred in Denmark in 2002 by Arne Drastrup and imported into the UK in September 2005 as an unbacked 3yo. JJ has been backed and produced by Claire Knowles and has shown himself to be very talented and trainable. He competed at the Winter National finals in 2008.
JJ demonstrates lovely, loose elastic paces with a particular ability to display exceptional extended paces. His canter is very balanced, with good uphill tendency and he is now producing some very expressive flying changes under saddle. JJ regularly competes and gains high scores in dressage. He is winning at elementary and medium level and made a successful debut at Advanced Meduim level in 2008.
JJ possesses a FANTASTIC TEMPERAMENT. This exceptionally kind stallion is regularly ridden and handled by children and novices and has attended a BYRDs training course with a talented 13yo rider. JJ approaches life with enthusiasm and is always eager to please.
JJ has been very successfully contesting Para-dressage classes with rider Rachel Maddocks and together they have shown continual improvement, culminating in being placed 3rd in their very first National Championship.
His first crop of foals born in 2009 proved his worth when they were recognised as Premium foals by the breed society and the BEF.
JJ is available at stud in 2011 at a stud fee of £400.
