Ulkah is a premium graded mare with the ZfDP. At the grading the judges were very impressed with Ulkah's exceptional movement, where she gained 8's for her walk and canter and a 9 for her trot.
Ulkah is an exceptionally pretty dark bay mare by Metall, who stands at 16.1hh. Ulkah was bred in Holland and is a registered KWPN mare. She is a lovely mare to handle and have on the yard, being very kind and gentle. In Holland Ulkah was trained to advanced medium level and was used as a schoolmistress, where she could be relied upon to teach the students well.
Ulkah has exceptional conformation and paces that you would expect from her breeding. Through her links to the illustrious dressage stallion Ferro, Ulkah has inherited an elastic trot, with natural engagement from behind. Her canter is light and uphill, enabling her to present an extremely elegant picture. Her walk is big and loose, always clear in its rhythm.
Through Metall's dam line, Ulkah can be traced back to the famous show jumping stallion of Ramiro Z. Whilst in the UK, Ulkah has attended some jumping classes and has impressed with her scope and bravery over a fence. She has been jumped up to 1m20 at home, impressing her rider with her agility and ability to learn. Ulkah had never jumped before her importation.
On her dam's side Ulkah is related to a strong line of Anglo-Arabs, who have helped re-fine Ulkah and improve her agility and forward thinking.
Ulkah is in foal to our young dressage stallion Rughavens Jackpot for a 2009 foal.
